Scouting America
Scouting America is my most recent collection of internship work that includes designs of programs, invitations, flyers, postcards, mail, vector art, and Scouting patches. I also served as an photographer for events such as The Golf Classic and The Lawn Social.
Scouting America (formerly "The Boy Scouts") focuses on supporting youth in developing essential skills for the future. I was responsible for emphasizing a clean, inclusive design centered around authentic imagery of kids actively learning and growing as well as maintaining professional appeal for current sponsors and adults.
Programs
Programs are meant to be cheap (the best way to go for non-profits), simple, and easy to read. I practiced simplifying information as much as possible and allowing readers to engage further with QR codes. Most of these have a "national" theme due to this year's pairing of Scouting America and America 250.
Cub Scout Summer Camps
Cub Scout Summer Camps include Resident Camp and Day Camp. Each year, Day Camp uses a different theme for the Cub Scouts. 2026 was Dinotopia, so I tried to use a combination of kid-friendly, watercolor dinosaurs, photographs, and a soft palette.
Other Branding
Other forms of branding include Scouting patches, flyers, and postcards. It was important to show distinction between designs for younger kids (Cub Scouts) and volunteer-oriented training (Adults) while also keeping designs similar for cohesion.
